Ram 1500 — Seat belt anchor recall (1,271,294 vehicles)

Recall number: 67D · Filed: July 30, 2026
Affected: 2019–2026 Ram 1500 pickup trucks
Risk: Second-row seat belt buckle anchors may not have been properly attached to the body structure during assembly. An improperly secured anchor cannot manage crash loads as designed, reducing occupant protection in a crash.
Precaution: Chrysler advises owners to avoid using second-row seating positions until the truck is inspected.
Action: VINs searchable on NHTSA.gov from August 6, 2026. Owner letters expected August 18, 2026. Contact your Ram dealer with recall number 67D for a free inspection and repair.

Jeep Wrangler & Gladiator — Fire hazard (1,076,999 vehicles)

Recall number: 26V363
Affected: Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator (approximately 1,076,999 vehicles)
Risk: A faulty electrical connection in the power steering pump wiring can cause nearby combustible material to overheat and catch fire — even when the vehicle is turned off. NHTSA has confirmed 51 fires and one injury linked to this defect.
Precaution: NHTSA recommends parking outside and away from structures until the repair is completed. Do not park in a garage.
Action: Contact your Jeep dealer immediately. This is one of the most urgent active recalls of 2026.

Ram 1500–5500 & Jeep — Trailer tow module (456,287 vehicles)

Recall number: 62D
Affected: 2024–2026 Jeep Wagoneer S, 2025–2026 Ram 1500/2500/3500/4500/5500 cab chassis, 2026 Jeep Cherokee
Risk: An improperly designed trailer tow module can cause trailer lights to fail to illuminate and trailer brakes to fail. Trailer brake lights and turn signals that do not illuminate reduce visibility to following drivers. Trailer brake failure increases stopping distance significantly when towing.
NHTSA estimate: 100% of affected vehicles have the defect.
Action: Dealers will replace the trailer tow module free of charge. Owner notification letters were expected March 24, 2026.

Chrysler Pacifica, Ram 1500/2500, Jeep Wrangler — Rearview camera failure

Affected: 2019 and 2023 Chrysler Pacifica, 2024 Ram 1500 and Ram 2500, 2024–2025 Jeep Wrangler
Risk: Contamination in the central vision processing module or improper programming may cause the rearview camera image not to display, violating FMVSS No. 111 (Rear Visibility) and reducing driver visibility when reversing.
Action: Dealers will update the central vision processing module software or replace the module free of charge. Owner notification letters expected June 11, 2026.

Ram 1500–5500 — Instrument panel display failure

Recall number: 35D
Affected: 2025–2026 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 cab chassis vehicles
Risk: A software error may cause the instrument panel display to fail, potentially affecting speed readout, warning indicators, and other critical driver information.
Action: Dealers will update the instrument panel software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 5, 2026.
